As the United States elections draw closer, they will cast a lengthening shadow over other parts of the world. The United States’ pivotal role in the security architecture of Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East faces uncertainty as a significant number of Americans now openly support candidates sceptical of maintaining this role.

During this event, our panel of experts analyse the state of the debate in those three regions regarding the durability and reliability of the US presence; the search for alternatives or hedges; and the consequences of continuing uncertainty.
