Senior Analyst, Latin America

Philip joined Oxford Analytica in June 2015 and is responsible for covering Mexico, Central America, Colombia and parts of the Caribbean.

Philip has lived in Venezuela, El Salvador and Colombia and has travelled extensively in Latin America. He has a particular interest in organised crime and guerrilla organisations and carried out his thesis research in Colombia, on the strategy and peace process of the April 19th Movement.

Before joining Oxford Analytica, Philip worked for a humanitarian organisation in Geneva that aimed to facilitate dialogue between international organisations and NGOs around the world. He is fluent in Spanish and holds an MA in International Relations from the University of St Andrews and an MA in Conflict Studies and Human Rights from Utrecht University.
