Richard Robinson is a Manager with Oxford Analytica’s Advisory practice, where he works with clients in the public and private sector to assess their exposure to external risk factors. Richard specialises in security risks and hybrid threats, and has also worked extensively on sanctions policy.
He was previously a member of Oxford Analytica’s Analysis team, where he was responsible for coverage of the Middle East and North Africa. Prior to joining the company in March 2018, he spent five years as an analyst with the US government, concentrating on Arab political and security affairs.
Richard holds a BA in Oriental Studies from the University of Cambridge and a Master’s degree in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Edinburgh. He speaks Arabic, French and German.
