Richard joined Oxford Analytica in 2018 and advises decision-makers in the public and private sector in assessing their exposure to external risk factors, and developing more resilient long-term strategies. He primarily supports our clients in the Gulf region through the delivery of bespoke monitoring, scenario planning and executive briefing services. Richard was previously a member of Oxford Analytica’s Analysis team, where he was responsible for coverage of the Middle East and North Africa.
Prior to joining the company, Richard spent five years as an analyst with the US government, concentrating on Arab political and security affairs. He holds a BA in Oriental Studies from the University of Cambridge and a Master’s degree in Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Edinburgh. He speaks Arabic, French and German.
