William joined Oxford Analytica in December 2011 as Shift Editor/Editorial Researcher, concluding this role in March 2014. He was lead analyst for Southeast Asia from August 2013 to December 2017 and then transitioned to lead analyst for North America and Asia-Pacific, holding this position until January 2021. He was then promoted to Senior Associate with Oxford Analytica’s Advisory (consultancy) team.
From late 2014 to mid-2022, William managed Oxford Analytica’s Global Risk Monitor, which tracks trends in global risk for an array of government and private-sector clients. William now manages the Custom Risk Monitor – the customisable version of the GRM.
In all his roles, William has developed extensive experience of working with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and sectors across the world. He has also contributed to live, recorded and print media and he attends conferences and panels as needed.
Prior to joining Oxford Analytica, William took a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in History from the University of Southampton and a Master of Studies and Doctor of Philosophy, both also in History, from Worcester College, University of Oxford. For part of his doctorate, William was Frere Exhibitioner for Indian Studies.
