We partnered with the United Nations Global Compact in the Rio+20 Corporate Sustainability Forum, Compact for Rio, providing a briefing for all delegates and moderating the closing plenary.
The Forum featured over 2,500 leaders from the business and investment communities, governments, civil society and UN entities.
Our CEO moderated the closing plenary session on June 18. The plenary distilled the outcomes of the four-day Forum, and identified the most promising business actions and commitments across the six Forum themes: Energy and Climate, Water and Ecosystems, Agriculture and Food, Urbanisation and Cities, Social Development, and Financing Sustainable Development.
Our Business and Society Practice worked in partnership with the United Nations Global Compact to prepare the Forum’s briefing book -- The Future We Want. This analyses the drivers of current, emerging and future trends in corporate participation on issues of sustainable development. The Future We Want reflects our experience helping clients to map and manage trends and impacts relating to sustainability issues.
