Library Help

The Library is a tool which allows you to create and manage "Books" containing content from Oxford Analytica's Daily Briefs, and retrieve these as fully formatted PDFs . You would typically use them when preparing a Briefing Book or a similar package of research material. The Library is only available to full clients with personal logins. If you are a client who has an organisational login, you can discuss how to obtain personalised logins with your relationship manager.

Note that if you wish to pass any Oxford Analytica content outside your organisation you must obtain Oxford Analytica's consent. There may be licensing restrictions in your contract as to how much you can pass to non-subscribers within your organisation.

What content can be put in a Book?

Any of the following types of content can appear in a Book.

  • individual Executive Summary paragraph
  • Daily Brief article (or Profile, In Depth Analysis or Bulletin)
  • Country Profile

 

Display pageAdding content to a Book

You can add content by clicking on the Add to button towards the top right of each display page, first selecting an existing Book from the drop-down list (under New Book) if necessary. This appears on pages when you are logged in as a client and viewing a single Executive Summary, Article or Country Profile.

Alternatively, you can quickly add multiple items of content to a book from the Search Results page of any search, by ticking the Add to Library checkboxes to the right of search result entries (when logged in as a client) and then pressing the Add To button, again selecting a book where necessary. If you elected to add to a New Book, you will be asked for details of the Book, such as a name and description. Fill them out and hit the Add button.


The Library Screen

Viewing a book and other book-related operations are undertaken from the Library Screen, which can be reached from the Library button on any Client Area web page, when logged in as a client.

From the Library screen, you can click on the name of the book to reach the Book Edit page. You can also click on the PDF icon to view the whole library as a formatted PDF, or the wastebin icon to delete that book.

From the Book Edit Page, you may change the name and description, as well as reorder or remove the items within the book, as well as rendering the book as a fully formatted PDF.
