Oxford Analytica undertook comprehensive and original research for the London Stock Exchange to assess the risk capital gap in the European Union. The project examined the advantages to EU economic growth of equity markets and looked at the opportunities for a pan-European growth equity market framed on the the European credentials of the LSE's own Alternative Investment Market (AIM). The report highlighted the constraints facing high growth companies and SMEs in accessing equity finance, which in turn inhibits their growth and expansion, thereby impairing innovation and job creation.
