Ph.D. and MA (distinction) in Latin American Studies, ILAS, University of Liverpool, specialising in Argentine politics, federal relations and provincial economies. Formerly Editorial Manager of Esmerk Argentina, covering political, macroeconomic and business news from Latin America, and former member of Amnesty International Americas Research Department. Two books pending publication, on Argentine politics since 1945 and on human rights in Latin America.

Formerly a research analyst at a London-based country intelligence consultancy; also taught at the University of Liverpool. Has published reports and features in Jane's Sentinel and Jane's Defence Weekly, and given regular media interviews. Holds a PhD and BA (First Class), University of Liverpool.
